In 2023, the ADMIRAL Jablonec nad Nisou Ship Modellers Club will celebrate 55 years of its existence. The club, which today brings together about 40 ship modelers, has been dedicated to the education of young people, especially in technical skills, throughout its existence. Hundreds of children and young people have passed through the club during its long existence. ADMIRAL is a member of the Club of Ship Modelers of the Czech Republic and organizes traditional competitions of floating ship models "Jablonec Anchor" (56th year) and "Blue Ribbon" (52nd year). It also organizes competitions of the Czech Championship Series and participates in the organization of other competitions.
In the past, the ADMIRAL Ship Modelers Club was entrusted by the worldwide ship modelers' organization NAVIGA (founded in 1958) with the organization of three World Ship Modelers Championships of category C. The first ever such championship was successfully organized in Jablonec nad Nisou in 1981. In 1993 another World Championship, the 7th, was held here. We successfully hosted the third edition in 2008. Now we have another challenge ahead of us.
